So we started fishing on a dock on the northwest side of the lake.

We started at 12:30 at night and went to 2:00am

The moon was pretty bright.

Within 30mins we started getting bites then got our first fish.

Within the next hour we caught a total of 4 catfish and lost 2 more when reeling in.

Great night fishing. Can't wait to get a boat on the ware at midnight.

Its very interesting to see more catfish reports out of Sammamish. Anybody know exactly what kind of catfish it is? And how big they can get?

Looks like a brown bull head, biggest I have ever caught is around 2.5 lbs. Moses lake is loaded with them but I have not fished for them intentionally for many moons. Caught several last year trolling for walleye with worm harnesses.

Yeah that's definitely bull head, like e-s-f I've only ever caught them while trying to target something else.

We were targeting them to eat em lol.

Our biggest was 14" and weighed little over a pound.

Those do look like brown bullheads, although yellow and brown bullheads are difficult to distinguish for me. Caught two a couple of weekends ago (also about a pound each), and they were really tasty. I'd love to catch a cooler full....
