Went out to Luther Burbank Park on the north side of Mercer Island last night about 6:30pm. Lots of people on the docks and the water was consistently choppy from boats running inner tubes back and fourth a little further out. Tried fishing around a fallen tree sticking out of the water back towards shore, but no luck. Tried various spinners and crankbaits I had with me and got some taps, but no solid bites for about an hour and a half. Swapped gear out to see if I could get into any trout for the last hour or so. Lots more action on the Power Bait, but still no solid bites. Saw someone else land a fish on my way out. Looks like it was about a 4" perch, which I'm assuming is what was eating my bait. Still a great night to be out on the water. Any advice from anyone familiar with the area would be greatly appreciated. Going to try going back out this evening if possible.
