Hooked up with a fishing buddy and his bass boat, which is 8 ft longer than mine, and has a outboard of 214 HP more. Mine will do about 20 MPH, and his does somewhere around 72 MPH. Other than that, they're pretty well matched up. Anyway, we had a good day fishing the sides and fronts of points. He cast shallow with a drop shot while I drug the 15 to 20 ft level with a Carolina Rig and curly tailed grub. We caught at least 30 with six or more in the two to three pounds range. Nothing much bigger. Anyway, off the lake by 11:30. Fun day with a good friend.

I like the boat comparison! I might have to pay the 15$ launch fee.

There are few benefits for getting old, but one of them is my senior citizen launch fee of $5.00. I don't think I'd fish Tapps near as much if I had to pay $15.00.
