Got a late start fishing on Meridian but time does not seem to be a factor when fishing this lake. We put in at around 4:30 - 5 PM and ran up to the uppern end of the lake and started. Running Jack Llyod Lake trolls with a 10 lb snubber and a wedding ring tied on about 30" behind. Used worms and a single piece of white shoepeg corn and began dragging fish to the boat instantly. We had multiple hookups constantly and lost many of these soft mouthed buggers right at the back of the boat.
The silvers in this lake are getting even larger than last time I went, about 2 weeks ago........ Average size was 11 - 12" and they are getting fatter also. As we were nearing our limit (4 People, 20 fish) it got so hard to count them we decided to be on the safe side and headed in.
All in all we ended up with 17 nice mini footballs for the smoker.

I figured what to do on the fish count...use a plastic grocery bag and put a limit in it and tie it off; set it in the cooler on ice. Now all you have to do is keep track of one limit. When several of us go it makes it easy to divide up the fish at the end of the day; assuming you have limits of course!

Really excellent comment downriggeral, not only keeps the count correct, but best of all the fish are on ice, does not take long for these tasty fish to go soft, when it's really hot put a chuck of ice in the plastic bag with the fish, keeps them really firm.
