Arrived at the lake mid morning only to find the wind was kicking 10-15 MPH. The skies were overcast and the air temp was near 50. Noticed several other tubers huddled near windward points patiently waiting for their chironimid to entice a fish. A few trout could be seen milling around the surface each time there was a lull in the wind, but dry flies were not on their menu. Setup with the ol' reliable sinking line with a wolly bugger (olive) which proved to be on the menu of a freight train who enjoyed it without a reciprocating tug on my end... "SNAP". Must have been rusty first time out because after tying on a black bunny leech... "SNAP" again. DUH!! Don't set the hook, the fish already did !!!! Smartened up and landed a bright 20+ using another bugger. Two of my cohorts also did well pulling olive bugs sub-surface.

Not much in the way of hatches going on. Only spotted a few chironimids all day, and a few gnats. Give it another month.
