Not a serious fishing trip but did toss a line for a bit. Went to the WSGWA campout at Park lake for the weekend. Walked down to the dock in the A.M. and tossed a little cleo for about 15 minutes. Landed one 14" RBT and missed a couple others. Saw a couple perch caught and one LMB. Clouds of minnows around the dock, maybe bass?

Took a drive around the lake and stopped at a few places looking for bass. Did see one smallmouth follow about the same size as the grub I was throwing. Only bite I had was from a tick which I did not discover until about 5 hours later as it was trying to make a hole in my leg.

I think this late in the season, if your shore fishing, you are better off soaking bait near the bottom for trout. Surface temps are a bit high for a trout's liking and they tend to go deep in search of cooler waters.
