I decided at 11pm saturday night to go fishing in the morning. I had pulled all my gear out since the derby to reorganize man what a mess still not there but good enough to float around for a bit. Up at 430 and in the water after day light. Lots of boat already out but I did manage the last spot in the main lot. Started out with purple dodger and beaded spinner that worked last time and heard red was good with a 50/50 dodger. Tipped my offerings with plain shoe peg corn. Seen fish from 20ft too 40ft and once in a while some at 60ft. Chased a mark at 50ft and got my first fish in the boat a nice sized one. Did the same for the 2nd lost a few. Red was the color of the day. My 2nd rod I put on a watermelon Dick nite dodger and a red home tied wedding ring and that rod picked up the fish. At that time I got three in the boat with many lost. I chased one more meter mark and hooked a real nice sized fish. He was big jumped out of the water a few times the last one was towards the boat in netting distance spit the hook sat side ways for a moment then turned away and swam down. Fishing or biting stopped and I motored around the lake. Switched through gear and colors and tried some sents. Around 10am worked called and I was needed to take gear up the the I-5 bridged and had to be there at 1pm to open the shop for others that will be helping. I put red with the watermelon and red with wonderbread dick nite dodgers back in the water scraped up 2 more fish and called it quits at 1130. My biggest fish was 14 3/4 inches and fat smallest was 11-12 inches.

Its an old Santa Ana classic 16ft. I forgot to mention that something got in a bind in my cannon line counter and broke so I was using my FF to tell me where my ball was at.
