This report is for Sunday and Monday. Got two of my kids out fishing on Sunday. We trolled around with a bunch of things tied on, but figured out that the only thing what was landing them was a Kokanee style setup with dodger and beaded lure tipped with a power egg. We got 4 trout in the boat. With a playground within view I had a hard time keeping the littlest one interested so that was that. Pictured is one of my lures on my grandpa's old rod n reel.

Work was slow on Monday so I was on the water by 1:30 and fished till 5:30. I started with worms under slip bobber as close to brush as possible. Caught a few perch keeping the biggest one which I got a couple fillets off of. Then I switch to bass fishing. Tried a spinner bait, sculpin fly, Havoc rocket craw, Kalin's grub, and texas rigged Senko worm. Finally got a hit and the north end on the Senko. He hit it as I was reeling it back in but didn't have the hook in it's mouth. Bummer!

Trolled for trout on my way back to the beach with no takers. Pretty good time on the water though. I tried filleting the
trout as well. Got some good meat off them and the perch.

Good luck out there! Oh and that's a turtle sunbathing on the log...Always get a kick out of seeing one.

I grew up on deep lake and still go out a fair amount. I have always had very good luck trolling around with a small flat fish lure. they love those things for some reason. My brother often limits from the dock with a slip bobber and a worm. He gets the kokanee dialed in nicely. I've never chased bass much there though.

around the very back of the lake where that small pond type area is, you can catch good trout just as the water necks down, there seems to be hole there where they congregate for a couple months after being stocked initially. until its fished out at least.

Congrats on winning the Best Post contest! My new contour map is waiting for the programmer to send me the programmer programmer, and it will go on WaLakes map section. Toward dark, try trolling a 50/50 (brass/silver) small needle fish style by itself about 50 feet back. The silvers (Coho) love it.

Hey Lou I think I just got lucky! I am enjoying the premium membership...:) Can't wait to see the map!

Dustin... A few years ago when I fist started trolling this lake we killed them on the flat fish and hot shot. I did try one the other day with no hits. I'm just not sure the fish were that interested in eating to begin with that day.. but thanks for the heads up!

Well done!
Me and some friends have been putting a whoop to the trout with flies. But it seems to be a reoccuring pattern, if they don't want flies, the guys on the bank are doing better, or they want hardware.
I've also struggled bass fishing this lake, SEEN and HEARD there are large bass in the lake, but I've never had success... That or I'm having to much fun C&R trout all day :P

Steel-crusher. Bass have been a real challenge for me on this lake. My best was a couple oz shy of 3 lbs. It was the only bass I caught that day. On another bassin trip I caught 4 in a couple hours... All caught on Texas rigged Yamamoto or Damiki hula grubs. Best months have been July and August for me. I've never caught one this early but I haven't given up! Hope to get back out soon.
