So here we go!! What a trip but sadly did not his all the lakes I had hoped to while over the other side of the mountains~

Monday~ my wife and I hit deep lake at 8am knowing that a storm was brewing and needed to get in as much fishing as we could before getting blown off the lake! Launched the Tin Cup at 7:30 am and set up 2 rods; one with Mike@bills mini hootchie and pink gulp maggots and the other with Toni's orange thing on a watermelon dodger and an ounce and a quarter of lead. I waited until we hit 90 feet of water before setting the rods down as I did not want any rainbows from Deep and was focused on kokes.

Not 5 minutes into the troll when Mike's hootchie get's the 1st kokanee of the day! After that it was pretty non stop with many missses but by 11:30 had 7 nice kokanees in the boat and the skies were darkening so we headed back just in time to miss the storm but sorry no pictures and it got really bad with 40 mph gust and side ways rain on the ride back to Ephrate

Thursday- After a successful morning at Moses Lake ( report to folllow) and getting my 1st walleye we decided to give Deep lake a shot at some tasty kokanee's. Launched and pretty much ran with the same gear and had the same success as before ending up with 7 nice little kokanees. Now these guys aren't the size of what I am use to but they are fiesty and we lost our share before getting to the boat!

Saturday- After a good morning on Park lake with a 23" 4 1/2lb brown ( report to follow) I took out a fellow camper Nick out for some kokanee fishing on Deep lake. Now I had made the mistake of not charging my battery for the fish finder so it started acting up so unplugged and went up the lake blind but knew pretty much where to drop the 1st line and the 1st fish on was a kokanee so figured I had it right. Pretty much the same story as we ended up with 4 kokanees but about 20 lost as these guys sure know how to shake a hook. Was almost tempted to put on a snubber and still might the next time I go. We finished the day with some more rainbows back at Park lake.

you try running a stinger hook with your hoochie?I know this always helps me tremendously especially with kokes.
