Mothers day is always enjoyable when your Mother would like you to take her out fishing so we did just that. The Bass are starting to move in to the shallow and protecting their spawning beds. We used a combo of plastic worms in natural colors and spinner baits. The weather was nice with a few gusts here and there. The Crappie are on the move, heading to structure and closing in on the shore as well. Kokanee slowed down a bit but the ones you get in the boat will be nearing the 15" mark. We smoked and canned a bunch of them up last week and they turned out great. Bass fishing will be picking up in the near future, work your baits slow and get them close to the bank as possible. Using a weedless set up allows you to bring them off the grass if you over shoot your cast and that works better more often then not.
