First time making an entry here and I hope to get better over time :)
Fished from my pontoon using sinking line. Tied on a variety of flies (Olive, black Woolly, Woolly worm, the usual suspects). I trolled long stretches and spot cast to the banks and I didn't get a single bite. Started around 09:30 and called it quits around 13:00. There were a few other folks on the lake and they didn't seem to be pulling them in so I didn't feel too bad overall.
Wasn't until I got home and checked the WDFW website for Catchable Trout Plant Reports for the lake that I noticed that Lake Goodwin (Snohomish County) has not been planted as of yet. Seems Ki and Shoecraft were though, ought to have tried there. From now on I might check the plant reports before heading out...might increase my chances, might not.

Rainorshine: Thanks for the report! It's no fun to post an unsuccessful report, but it provides valuable info for all members. Some of the guys on WALakes can catch fish on most any day, on any water, but the rest of us just plug along, do our best, and rely on helpful reports posted by other guys. You'll get 'em next time!

Goodwin is more of a quality over quantity kind of lake. Fish are big and healthy but harder to track down due to the lake size and depth, esp from a pontoon/float tube. It does not get a big plant of bows like some of the smaller lakes in the area. You mentioned Ki and Shoecraft, also in the area are Martha and Howard, all decent smaller lakes and get large plants of trout.
