Braeden (my son), his friend Jay, Jemma (my new canine fishin buddy) and I hit the lake about 4pm. We had our first limit of this years stocked trout by 4:45, and the rest of our 2 limits in the boat by 7pm. We trolled the northeast cliff area using Apex lures with worms at about 1.5-2.2mph and 20'-35' depths. This was Jemma's 2nd trip on the boat, but her first trip after having found her coordination (she's only 4 months old). She didn't quite know what to make of the lake... as if to step off the boat "onto" the water she would kind of wave her paw at the water... but didn't have the guts to take the first step. Kinda wish she would have. My son was worried that she would fall in. Like that would be a bad thing. It would be the last time we'd have to worry about it :)
Anyways, the fishing was great as always and the weather was the best so far this year. The boys were restless and it was getting late so the photo op with the fish was missed, but I took a photo of the in the sink anyway. As well, we got a mess of fillets I'm fixin to smoke!
