Spent a few days fishing Silver Lake for Crappie. Arrived last Tuesday night and stayed at the Silver Cove RV resort. Nice boat launch and I was able to leave the boat in the water over night. Spent Wednesday roaming the lake trying different techniques. Caught a few trout and perch but not what I was looking for. Thursday and Friday proved better using a chanteuse marabou jig under a bobber. Thursday's fish came near the docks at Silver Motel and RV. Nice folks there very helpful. Caught 15-20 over 10" in one spot. All were released. Best fish came on Friday in 12" of water. The wind was up so I fished the canals near the rv resort. Caught a beautiful 17" crappie, followed by another. Total for Friday was 8, but had to leave early.

I also caught a 10lb carp on ultra light gear. Lots of fun.
