A great day on Riffe Lake. The boat launch was accessible for the 16 foot Lund and launched OK with only a two wheel drive vehicle. Once on the lake with pole in hand it was obvious from the first two minutes that it was going to be a GREAT DAY. Two minutes was all it took to land the first two 17 inchers. From there on it slowed only very slightly and we threw back more than we kept. Go a little deep (twenty feet) for the nice size ones. On the top you will get the smaller ones. Once you launch from the dock start fishing. You can go left to the dam with good fishing or go right and have good fishing for about a mile up the lake. Using pop gear or wedding rings seemed to be the ticket for today. Not much traffic on the lake and the camp site was pretty empty, BUT the fish are there, waiting for you.
