Spent the last week at Alder Lake searching for Crappie. Alder is an amazing lake and I enjoyed the great weather we had. I only managed to boat one fish (Kokanee). I was really focused on the Crappie. I know they are there but I couldn't figure out the bite. Fished the main channels and the flats looking for staging crappie. Unfortunately, the water level just came way up in the last three weeks and I think that threw the bite off. On the other hand, the Kokanee fishing must be great. They were jumping all over the place. Stayed the week in the campground at Alder Lake Park, thoroughly enjoyed it and its a great facility.

That is one thing that I have always wanted to do and that is find crappie on Alder Lake. I have kind of tried before but have never found them. Have you had luck in the past in there? I tried that old sunken forest on the south side of the main channel. Never touched a fish and have not been back. Not sure what I was doing.

Several nice folks I met said they are there and that the fish a slab quality. I just don't think the lake has the numbers. I fished the old forest too and marked plenty of fish, but not one bite. I'm positive the fish are there. I'm going to give it another couple weeks and try again.

Just moved here and living in Graham. Been looking at Alder lake and wondering if there is a web site that lets me know the lake level each day. Lived in Missouri around Truman Lake and Lake of the Ozarks and they actually would post the Lake levels on the news each day. Really helped out a lot. Getting ready to purchase a boat and would love to try and figure out the crappie pattern there at Alder Lake. Kind of looks like the lake might get really crowded in the summer.
