So had some time this morning to get the Tin Cup back out to try and see if I can figure out what was wrong with my motor. We launched at 7am from Atlantic city and didn't want to start that motor so early with all the apartments around so just headed over towards Mercer with the trolling motor.
Dropped the rods in and made a turn towards Seward park still going with my pink hootchie and pink gulp maggots. Not much action until we made a turn to actually head over to the old hatchery on Seward park when 1 of the rods go off and we have our first 'fish on' for the day! Didn't seem too big but as it's getting closer does a complete leap into the air and realize it's a kokanee! Not big but pretty cool, anyway back in go the rods and not too much further we hit another about the same size and comes off just as we bring it into the boat. Whew! 2 for 2 on koke's which is not usually my ratio! lol
Anyway picked up one more and a nice 17" cutt before I needed to get back in and get to work so we got ready to fire up the Sizzler. Noticed that when I squeezed the bulb on the tank gas was spewing from the housing on the motor so she fired up and sure enough half way it does the same thing likes it's starving for gas. So get home and realize it's the fuel line inside the motor to the housing that's cracked so after a half inch amputation of the hose and reattachment I squeeze the bulb and no gas leak!! She fires up first turn and I am one happy boat owner!! Thanks for all your help on my last post so I know where to turn when I have another issue.
Won't be out until next week as I have too much catching up to do at work over the next few days and commitments all weekend! see you on the water. No pics as forgot my camera and let my friend have the fish as he doesn't get out much!
