This report is for the 21st and 22nd.

21st: I started out around 3:45 p.m. and decided to fish off of the first sitting area adjacent to the swimming zone. I decided to start off with chartreuse Powerbait roughly 18 inches off the bottom. This proved useless as the weeds are currently at a height of around two feet so I quickly gave up on that spot and moved over to the floating dock. I don't know whether the gate means its private but there was already a guy fishing on it who had gotten around the fence so I decided to push it. After roughly half an hour here with not even a nibble for the dozen or so people who were braving the weather, I called it a day.

22nd: I had heard the WDFW stocked the lake on the 18th with 1000 Browns so I came prepared to fish for them alone. I was using several different spinners and Rapalas on the northern end of the lake while the guy next to me was using a floating frog. I saw one swim right on past the shoreline but couldn't get any hits. After roughly an hour of casting my whole tackle box at the lake it started to pour, so I called it a day.

Also, the Kids fishing Derby is April 12th for special needs and April 13th for the general public. This can be a fun event to go to but has its drawback as the first weekend of shoulder to shoulder fishing. I would recommend going the instant the WDFW stocks the lake again before the derby. Although there is always the possibility that they won't.

Tight Lines!

Klineline Pond was stocked on March 26, 2013 with 1,500 Rainbow Trout. Also, there is a separate stocking of 3,380 Rainbow Trout into Klineline Pond W on March 27, 2013. I believe this means the small side pond just over to the left of Klineline Pond behind the restroom building.
