1) Power bait with garlic smell (original or rainbow color).
2) Power bait with salmon egg scent (peach or rainbow color)
3) White or yellow power egg dipped in anise oil for scent.
Some lakes one work better than the other, but there will always be at least one that work for any particular lake. Than if you find that power bait is working (whatever smell) in a particular lake/day, sometimes I add a yellow or white power egg (if garlic smell) or pink (if salmon egg smell) at the curve of the hook covering the top of the hook (size 8) and about 1/2 inch of the line with power bait... some times this improves the catch rate because it gives the trout a second target if they steal the power bait, but the power bait smell attracts them initially.
