Tough day fishing yesterday for us. Buddy and I launched around 10am and fished until 3:30ish. We tried trolling, still fishing, drift fishing, nothing seemed to work. We got a few bites with all methods but no hook ups, bites were real light and tentative. We trolled wedding rings and mini shrimp behind dodgers, and still/drift fished with worms/garlic scent, yellow power eggs/garlic scent, worm/herring scent and finally worm/krill scent. Great day weather wise, beautiful day to be out, only thing that could have improved it were a few fish to the boat! Oh well, will try again soon. Tight lines all.

The fish on American are very light biters right now. I have only had a couple have what I would call a take down the others are more like nibbles. When I left for Lake washington yesterday American looked beautiful and when I got home it still looked great. We battled some wind and 2 ft waves for some of the day on Lake Washington. Did you troll over on the VA side? Good report, and better luck next time.

Thanks Mike, we made a slow loop around the island and then starting still / drift fishing off of what I think is Bill's Boathouse more toward the island though to give the guys on the dock plenty of room. Lake was beautiful all day, nice report on Washington and congrats on the cutt! Do you ever target perch in American? I had one great day for perch on American last year and haven't been able to find them since...really hits the confidence level when I can't even put a perch in the boat!

This may sound weird but you wont find perch this time of year...or atleast I never have. I do have some great spots that I target just perch in the summer. I have a spot that I pull about 20 twelve in perch per hour! If you are familiar with the lake send me a PM and I will give you some more details.
