Great day on Rock lake yesterday, needed a day off so me and a buddy hit the lake at around 9 am or so. We went up about a 1/3 of the lake and hit the western points with wind hitting the face.
Fishing really picked up at about 10 am and went really well all day but the best bites were around 1:30 pm or so.
I was using all fly tackle, size 8 bead head wolly buggers, in Black and Olive with some flashibou on the tails.
Average fish size was about 15" all brown trout. Good day all around, buddy caught his first "real" trout about 16 incher on the fly.
We will be back, olive seemed to be the better color casting close to the rock faces and stripping at a slow/medium speed back to the boat.
