Went to ballinger to start a new year with fishing spend 3 hours with 2 fish.its slow fishing everywhere.the only fun happen for the day is this...I've been having a bite,strikes and tip down really hard and no fish,I've started to belive that there is a fish smart enough to just steal my bait (using powereggs with worm) this happens almost the whole time I was fishing it started to annoyed me at some point,then my rod tipped over and almost flipped to the water catch it on time and started reeling it in and boy this was heavy,I've been fishing lake ballinger for quite some times now but never caught a fish this heavy I started to think that I might hook in to salmon or huge bass I heard many of that story here at the lakes,but as soon as I got a glance at my catch to my surprise it was a huge crawfish.Dang the biggest I have ever seen it would maybe 4 to 6 inches,wish I have my phone with me that day,it was worthy of a photo.I really don't know what to.do with it so back to the water it goes,man what a rush that was.a little disappointed but glad to get a close look at my thief of the day,now I'm aware they're out there.
