10/28/2012 12:43:00 PMThe Apex worked great. I caught 3 of the 5 on it.
The larger rainbow weighed in at 1#8oz and he was very feisty.

Got on the water about 7:30 and headed north. Started trolling the northwest side with no results. Changed the downrigger to an Apex Rainbow with worm and the other pole with a green/orange wedding ring and rounded the north end of the lake and came up the northeast shore along the cliffs. That's where the action was all morning. Around 8:45 I picked up the first brown (14"). Looped around and trolled that northeast cliff area for another hour and finished off my limit. Total for the day was 3 Rainbows (13", 14" 16") and 2 Browns (14", 15"). Was done fishing by 9:45 and headed home by 10:30.
Downrigger depth was 25' all morning. Other trolling rod used a 1 oz weight in front of a kokanee flasher setup with a trailing green/orange wedding ring with a silver blade that had a red sticker on it. I have no idea what depth it was at but I let out quite a bit of line.
Thanks DaveF for the recent reports that prompted me to come here today instead of Deer!
