10/2/2012 1:57:00 PMGreat catch and so close to home. I remember getting a 5 gallon bucket of perch over at Mar-Dons in the late 70's. Back then they used an electric carving knife to clean them. You can zip thru one in about 15 seconds. Stop just short of the tail and flip over flesh side up. Then squiggle the fillet off without touching a scale. Try it, you will be amazed.

10/2/2012 5:41:00 PMI was just thinking of how proficient you must be with the fillet knife! That is an awesome pile of perch worthy of some good quality panko or something good with a few cold ones and FOOTBALL! Or whatever tickles your fancy this time of year. Well done on the catching...
