Went to Coeur D’Alene Lake after Kokanee Saturday morning. We launched out of Mica Bay and headed across the lake around Driftwood Point. It took a while to find them, but once we did and dialed in the depth and color, fishing was good. We ended up with 16 in the boat for two of us, and lost several more. What seemed to work best on the downrigger, was a medium gold dodger with a pink or red wedding ring type lure (from Fishing With Gary Tackle Co). What worked best on the long line was a 2 oz in-line weight, a large moon glow Cousin Carl flasher (from the Kokanee Kid), with a red Cascade wedding ring type lure from Fins and Feathers. Red died and scented white corn was what they were biting. Caught most fish at 35 to 45 ft in 60 to 140 ft of water, trolling between 1.1 and 1.4 MPH. Stopped before limiting – got hot and too many skiers and jet skies.
