Launched about 6pm and only fished for an hour, thought bass sounded like a fine dinner so headed out to try to make it happen.

Landed a 3 pounder and a 1.5 pounder and headed home. not bad for an hours fishing.

I have learned that the fish look much smaller in a photo with me, please keep in mind that I am 6 foot 4 and 350 pounds. LOL

I do not want to sound like a jerk but does Newman have different regs then the rest of the state on Largemouth. IE you can only keep fish below 12 inches and above 17 inches? I do not keep bass so I am really not sure.

I thought it was 14 and 17, I guess I need to read my book again to make sure. Thanks for the heads up.

For LMB, like you caught, you can have 5 bass total. Only one can be over 17" and the rest, or all 5, must be less then 12". (Slot)
On SMB, you get 10 bass, only one over 14". (No Slot)

PS, nice fish, sounds like you had a good day.

I reread the regs and you guys are exactly right, thank you for the input and info. I appreciate it.

Nice bass though, they make the regs so confusing that you practically need to be a lawyer to understand all of them.

Thanks John, I have done much more studying of them now.
