Had an interesting day fishing Summit. The wind blew, the clouds rolled in and the downpour began. Besides the warm water wash, the fishing was fair to good. Lots of nice fat rainbows. The trout wasted no time in devouring leeches on a sink tip line. They hit very hard and were like little footballs. Size varied from 10-16", with no Brookies being caught by me. Several people came and went over the day who fished from shore with "power bait". Most of the anglers left with a fish or two (I did see one brooky which was 14" in a creel). These trout fight very well on a fly and would put a smile on even the most seasoned flyfisherman's face.
