normally, I fished this lake for crappie and trout! not too much luck catching them lately. last sunday i tried fishing for bass for the first time, no luck. So finnally last tuesday hooked 4 bass 2lb average and now im hooked on the bass fishing. so today i started around 3pm heavy wind blowing north, on the north side the bass biting pretty good with the heavy wind blowing, i couldn't see the bit line twitch, or pull, but i could deff feel it tucking hard on some of the bit. landed 2 today 2lb and 3 1/2lb missis a lot. they were biting as the worm falling for some reason. it was a fun experience.

They bite on the fall because they are hungry, or there are more than 1 fish trying to get the worm. Competition ya know.

If the worm is laying on the bottom for a little bit, or a long bit, then the fish aren't really hungry, and they have to think about it, or there is a lot of fishing pressure on that lake and the fish has learned to think about it before grabbing a meal. Or the fish are cruising and they haven't passed by the lure yet.

Amx sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

Fun is what it's about!

CUrious...were you using nightcrawlers or plastics/senco types? I was trying to start using something other than plugs and curious about the "Wacky-rig" setup vs the "Texas" vs the "Drop-shot" when rigging plastics. Also, anyone have comments about using my Berkley bubblegum steelhead worms on a Texas-rig for bass? mostly i have pumpkin-seed/watermelon/darker colors.
