Stopped by barrier dam first wanting to fish for summer steelhead, but the springers jumping all over the place tempted me to fish for them instead. So we tried for them, didnt catch anything until we got to meet the king of springer fishing. The guy knows what they want, and kindly got me on my first spring king. After a good 25 min fight I brought in a chrome bright 18lb springer. So thankful for the kind fishermen!
Then headed up to riffe, and me and my guy had some fast silver action! A little piece of worm 2ft under the bobber. Began by fishing 5ft under the bobber, only had a few bites here and there, then we moved our bait to 2ft under the bobber, and literally right after the bobber would hit the water it would be fish on.The fish were not biting light and we were catching up to 15inchers. They were also not picky with anything we were offering them. Got our limits and headed home with a cooler full of meat!
