so my customer owns a restaurant in Monroe and we decided to try Lake Stevens this morning after all the reports~ we found the Wyatt park boat launch and started our troll towards the aireater. After an hour of rain and working around all the boats and losing my favorite kokanee set up on someones downrigger ball that cut right behind our boat decided to take out and head down to my home lake Angle. 5 minutes into our troll we had our first hook up and ended up limiting out with 3 kokes and 7 rainbows in 2 hours ( the largest Kokanee is not in the picture as he wanted to take it back to the restaurant) we had quite a few kokanee's come unbuttoned before we could get them to they boat but most of the trout we landed. I will go back to Stevens but may try it on a weekday instead so not as much boat traffic to deal with. We ran one off the downrigger and 1 long line and as soon as I changed out the weight from 2 1/4 to 1 1/4 the hits started real coming on. Most of the trout on the long line and all the Kokanee's off the downrigger at 30'. Today it was the rainbow wanna-fish-a-lure with watermelon dodger tipped with gulp pink maggots that enticed the bites for the Kokanee's and the rainbows were hitting the orange thinig also tipped with the maggots.
