I'm late posting this. My oldest son and I went out to Beaver to try out our new (to us) fishing boat and launch around 2PM. We trolled from the boat launch to the opposite end of the lake with no strikes. One third of the way back we land our first strike and land a nice 13" trout. As we make our way back to the boat launch area we get and land our next trout ~12". We start to make our 2nd trip around the lake and get a few more strikes getting to mid-lake, but we are not able to hook up (just feeding our worms to the fish). School and work the next day, so call it a day at 5PM.

So how did you like the boat?

The boat is a wonderful -- (1) a lot more room in a 14' Lowe SeaNymph versus our canoe and (2) much easier to do things together with my son such as changing lures/worms, netting/landing a catch, and sharing a snack.
