Had a good day out on the water again. With most anglers heading north to the net pens, to try to slaughter the Triploids, I find myself being one of the few angler's fishing the walleye. Remember its not just Banks Lake that has good Wallye Fishing.

My buddy and I got onto the water at about 8am, lauched from Seatons Grove. I motored down by the isalnd, where I have been having great success this early summer. within 10 minutes of trolling on the west side of the island I had a fish on!. From there on, the fishing was awesome! between the two of us we caught around 11 walleye, and kept only 5, with two nice surprise perch. We fished till about 11am. The big fish of the day was a 26 inch 7 pounder. Lately bottom walkers, and spinners have been the method for me. It seems like I've been changing color patterns up a lot to see what the Walleye are liking. On this Particular day, pink was the spinner color that the fish hit the most. On the other hand my buddy, jigged all day, with lead headed jigs. Hard telling. The Walleye are still in shallower water, hanging out in coves with little to no current.

Hope this helps, good luck! and be safe.
