Started off a little slow. Had some great people down there at Waughop helping us out. After a couple of hours of futility my 10 yr old fisherman Brett switched from a purple worm to a peach glow colored worm and within minutes he had a nice 2-3 pounder on the bank. Then he moved over to another spot where one smaller fish was guarding a next and cast just beyond it where he saw a larger fish swimming around. BAM! Fish on and his heavy pole bent over like an ultralite and the drag started to squeal. After tightening his drag, he had to drag this hawg out of the bushes and he finally got this 8 -9 pounder to the bank. By now there was a crowd gathered around and they all were astounded by this fish. What a great day Brett will not soon forget!

What a life for that fish, huh? Get yanked out for an alien abduction every day, maybe twice a day... I'm not real familiar with bass weights by looking at them. But he could barely lift it for the picture so I figured it was about like a bowling ball weight.

For as many big bass that are being caught in that little lake, that says alot for catch and release. I'm quite sure that several of those big bass have been caught, had their photo taken, and posted on this site more than once....or twice. Very nice fish!!
