This is a report for Lake Union and Lake Washington

Logan77 and I took advantage of the good weather and went out on his boat to get some fishing in. As we got to Lake Washington at about 2 PM, we realized there was a tournament going on the lake, and it was pretty windy so we figured we would have a better chance of catching some fish in Lake Union. On the boat there was a whole box full of plastics, but for some reason, out of all the things in the box, we decided to put a white/grey jig trailer on a football head. It looked like a roboworm with a paddle tail. Turns out, it was a great idea!

We drove the boat on up to Lake Union, stopping at several places to fish on the way. The day started out slow, until we got to Gas Works Park, where Logan caught a 1.5 pound fish and I caught a 1.75 pound fish in quick succession. Logan's fish was in about 5 feet of water, and mine was in about 10 feet. Both seemed to be on beds; we let our lures sit on bottom for a couple seconds then they hit them right as we twitched it. As we made another pass along the shoreline, I caught a real dink, not much bigger than the lure. I'm not sure how the fish managed to get the hook in his mouth.

Fishing slowed down for the next hour or two, no fish for either of us for a while. We decided we should probably start heading back towards the Newport Marina, where the boat is usually docked. We stopped at a couple places and caught more dinks until I caught another bass around the same size as the 1st one, maybe a bit smaller. We fished a few more spots but no more luck. We decided to call it a day at around 9 PM.

Fishing wasn't incredible, the only reason this report is a 4 is because fishing has been pretty slow recently, and we finally got to catching fish at a somewhat consistent rate. Check out Logan's report for pics of his fish.
