My buddy and I hit up the fishing bridge at Taidnapam around 9:30 or 9:45am. The water level of the lake looked staggeringly low since the last time I was there in the summer. Nevertheless, there were people fishing when we got there (all 3 of them), and the park ranger had told us that people have been starting to reel in their limits, so we went in with mixed hopes. The first 15 minutes we were there, I hauled in the first kokanee at 14 inches. Night crawlers was the food of choice for them that day. I saw people using shrimp and catching them as well, but not as much as the night crawlers. I put a green power egg at the base of the hook and had half a worm hanging off the rest of it. Seemed to work decently well. Fished the lake all the way up until 2:30 pm, which yielded us about 6 fish total for the day. That roughly came out to about 6 fish every hour or so. All of the fish we caught stayed consistent in size ranging around 13-15 inches each. Saw a 7 year old girl nearly catch her limit in an hour with a Barbie fishing pole, which made things frustrating. Overall, it was slower than expected, but we went home with a satisfying dinner in hand.
