Stuck close to home base this year for the opener. I expected it to be so crowded that I wouldn't even toss a line in the water. When I got there, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't all that crowded. Sure, had to be careful where you cast your line from the dock, but, it wasn't bad at all and it was really the show that I came looking for. Little planters were the norm. The bite wasn't hot but it was consistent. there were some really nice people out there, most were having lots of fun. Honorable mention goes to Mark and his son Lucas! Lucas, just guessing 4-5 years old, was slaying them with those power eggs! Way to go Lucas! Lots of little boats, no gas motors allowed I believe, double check the regs they are always changing. There's not really a ramp for trailers, car toppers are your best bet. LOL Rainbows and cutts were being caught. We could hear an eagle talking up a storm in the distance. This is just what the doctor ordered! Have Fun!
