This is my favorite childhood lake to fish, however as I understand it Waughop was closed indefinitely due to the algae problems they've had for decades. (For me I'd love to fish it, but certainly wouldn't eat anything caught from this lake..unless I want to glow in the dark! :0)

4/26/2012 8:58:00 PM@ Borderline_11 - You have to carry in boats from the parking lot. And they cannot have a motor at all.
@csheltoncat - Yes...the restriction for consumption of these fish is still, and always will be, active going forward. The level of potentially toxic algae in the lake is too high.
I went there last week just to walk around it and remember my childhood. Saw a ton of bass, so the population of fish like that is good for that sized lake
