Headed out to lake Goodwin this beautiful spring morning. I broke a sweat, but not from the fishing, just from the sun. Used cowbells and wedding rings, which usually knocks 'em dead at Goodwin. Tied several different color combinations, even put on my rainbow trout rapala and still nothing. Fish all over the sonar, but couldn't get a single bite. There were several other boats on the lake and it seemed like everybody else was slouched in their chairs waiting for a bite, never did see anybody so much as lean forward to get a better look at their pole. Heard somebody in another boat mention they hadn't had a bite all morning. I fished from 9am until about 12:30. I have been fishing Goodwin for almost 10 years and I'm pretty sure this is the 1st time I have ever been skunked here. I guess it had to happen eventually... Was hoping for fresh trout for dinner tonight, but I guess I'll just have to get my last piece of Baker Lake sockeye out of the freezer instead. Life is so tough sometimes. ;P
