To catch the trout, set a small bobber about 5' above a lightly weighted worm; I found 1/2 or 1/3 of a nightcrawler to be best. Go to the deeper end of the lake, cast out and relax. Let the wind drift the bobber to cover more water. I found that 5 trout took only about 45 min. Some of the trout were quite good size, all were orange (not pink) fleshed and very fat.

The perch and crappie have so much food that you must hit them on the nose and hope they open their mouths. I actually watched crappie follow my 1 1/2" black & white sassy shad to the boat, just nipping the tail without taking the lure.

The bass can be caught, but they too have so much food that you are not going to get bone jarring strikes. I used a favorite lure (no I am not going to tell you what lures are catching the bass!) and found that strikes were common, hook-ups seldom. When I put a stinger hook on the end to get the short strikes, bass were caught. I only caught one bass smaller than 12" and no bass over 15". The small bass had over a dozen small 1 1/2" minnows in its stomach.

Good fishing and good luck
