Well, the weather was nice and I had some free time so I loaded the boat and went over to the lake for a few hours. Sounded like a good idea with the lake getting a heavy plant of fish recently. I very rarely fish the lakes on the westside, but I had high hopes of catching and releasing some of 1,000 brood stockers (2-8 pounders) the Snohomish Sportsmans Club planted on top of the 2,000 half pounders the state planted. The fishing wasn't so hot today. I was a bit dissapointed as well as the other boats. However, I did manage to release 4 and lost a few, they were the smaller 12-13 ichers. I fished a gold plated Fiord Jr spoon to catch the fish and was the only thing I had action on. I only seen one other small fish caught from another boat and did not see how the people on the docks did, but didn't see any comotion, so I think it was slow for them too. The lake was pretty packed for a weekday, 10-12 boats and probably 30 people on the docks.
The only action I had and seen came from the area in between the docks and the boat launch close to shore, the rest of the lake was void of action.
If you head to Blackmans, remember it's got a three fish limit now.
