I wasn't sure if I was gonna make it down pine canyon this morning with that snow storm we got in Waterville! It was slow going for a while, but finally got on the water around 8 or so. We jetted up to the Yacht Club and fished there for most of the morning. The bite was kind of slow, but we managed to boat a couple fish. In the afternoon we moved down to the lower basin and found it to be a lot more productive. We hooked a double off rocky point and worked our way into the trench. Our best pass of the day was our last one over Macks bar. We doubled up and decided that was a good way to end the day, but before we could reel the outrigger in it hooked up! Most productive bait was the Hi-Fly, but the U-20 flatfish in purple glow and green worked well for us today too! Held the trolling speed right around 1.4 and kept the gear within 5 feet of the bottom. Big thanks to Chad Miller for fishing with me today! I have a March-April special posted on my website and weekend trips available!
