Had a great time on Lake chelan today! We finally got some temps above freezing.. about time! Our first stop was in the lower basin with a good breeze from the South West. The bite was a little slower than normal and we had trouble finding fish on the sonar, but managed to pick up a few before the wind got the better of us. So just like last week we made wake up to the yacht club in search of bigger fish and better weather. We found a good bite right off the bat! We trolled out to 360 ft before turning around, but all our bites came inside the 280 ft mark.. nothing in the deep water. The purple glow T-4 Flatfish and Moonshine spoon worked the best for us. Soon as the bite slowed down we headed back to the lower basin hoping the fish would cooperate a little better in the evening.. and they did! We found stacks of fish in the 180 to 220 ft range. We caught 3 more fish and had several bites while trying to take pictures and put the gear away! The Hi-fly and Moonshine spoon worked well for us here also. Ended the day with 9 nice lakers in the cooler. A good day with good friends!

No that's actually Mark and Dan from the ortho surgery department at CWH. Great guys and good fisherman. Lots of fun to have on the boat!

I gotta say. it is really strange to see a Lake Chelan fishing Guide and sponsor of this sight. Leave a fishing report for a guided trip on Lake Chelan. And the available fishing Guide and phone number listed at the top of this page, for fishing Lake Chelan, is not yours, but another Lake Chelan guide!

Isn't that like paying for advertising but another guide gets the plug? Like having the competitor Guide's phone number on the side of your fishing guide boat instead of yours? I know you do not make up the rules, but this has got to be strange from your and other Lake Chelan guide's stand point?

You make a very good point MotoBoat! It's funny you bring that up because I was just talking to another Lake Chelan guide about that this morning. The rule on that is first come first serve. Darrell and Dads Guide Service was the first one to lay claim to the Lake Chelan report page therefore they get the advertisement. I have my advertisement at the top of the page on a stretch of Lake Roosevelt. Although I dont guide there, I guess it's still advertisement none the less. You're right though, to someone reading the latest report on Lake Chelan it looks an awful lot like it came from the advertised guide service

It's the way the ad is hard coded to the page and yes, we agree it isn't the best set up. That said, the reports that each guide posts have their information/web site link at the bottom of the report, which is designed to encourage our guide sponsors to post regular reports. Hopefully down the road we can improve the system further.

Looks like Rufus and Roses is locked up as well. I have not seen your guide service listed on the Lake Roosevelt reports page, as of yet. Must be more than one report page location for Roosevelt. I guess all the bennies come if your first to advertise. Really makes a guy in your position want to scratch his the head in bewilderment.
Thanks for the explanation Mike. Still does not seem fair if all 3 guides are paying the same rate. The guides name and number stands out more so above the report, at the top of the page. It is like a billboard. When compared to locating near the bottom of the report. Not to mention the phone number is hidden behind the link, instead of included in the report. Hopefully this kink does get worked out. Otherwise wait til D&D retires or sais........hey let's take turns up here.
