First time lake fishing in many moons. Walked to green lake on a tip they were perking up again. Fished from maybe 10:30am to 3:30pm on my fav dock, all alone. Had a great time just hanging out on the dock, power egg still fishin, listening to the radio, eatin junk food, and drinking a diet Coke.

It was blustery weather but I dressed for it and was nice and toasty sittin through the rain squawls. Saw three brave souls wind surfing some quite gusty winds.

After hours of no signs of life, finally I see my line go suddenly slack, then I see the rod tip take a marked bend forward. From my sitting position, I pick up the rod, set the hook, and feel that solid hookup we all yearn for.

After a brief fight, I brought the 12" rainbow up to the dock. He was hooked deep, so I kept him, I reset my rod before cleaning it. Then I decided I had been there long enough and packed it up. Walked home, stopping by my fav coffee shop to but some ice in my fish/grocery bag,

One striked, one fish, a great day it was.

NIce work Urban. So you hear that Greenlake is picking up since the dull days off warm water urban trout fishing?

that's what it is all about; being in the elements, relaxing, quiet time and "not" getting skunked

That's right, Wrk2Fish. I was there to just relax, and avoid cleaning the basement at home. Was great to not get skunked though! Yup, Quad, heard yesterday from a frequent green laker that they are starting to bite again. Game on! :)
