Fished Cassidy from 6am to 9am before work. C&R'd about 15 largemouth bass...most smalller, but I did get a 2 and a 3 pounder. The photo of the larger fish did not turn out, so I posted the 2. I also C&R'd a couple NICE crappie that nailed my bass worm. Both were 13 inches long and came on back to back casts. Most bites came right on the shallow reed edges, some in the pads too. The bass were gorging on dragonflies and many were jumping completely out of the water deeper back into the reeds. Cool! A beaver was also out this morning swimming around, trying to scare my fish away. Fun time, but no real pigs today.

I always keep an ultralight in the boat. When the nice sized crappies hit a little bit bigger bait like your bass worm. You can toss a small jig at them and have a ton of fun. If you got 2 on the worm on back to back casts, you probably could have got a ton on jigs. What's really fun is when you start throwing those small jigs on ultralight and the bass pick it up. Ya baby, Hang on. Nice Job. Happy Fishing
