If there were a fitting title for today's fishing it would be ''day of many dinks''. I havn't been catching much on my go to baits so I've been throwing a football jig lately. I didn't catch anything much over a pound if that, but they were gulping up the jig. I haven't spent much time with a jig historically but I must admit they are the best bait for hook up's. I would feel a little pop on the line, wait half a second and set the hook really hard. No fish lost. I caught 5 or 6 fish in 2 hours. I probably would of caught more but I lost all 3 of my gig's to rocks early on in the day, then switched to tubes and they were not into the tube. It was cold this morning and all of the fish were hanging around really deep points. It was a lot of fun. Tight Lines!

I was on foot today. It is next to impossible to get the boat onto my Carolla with out damaging the boat by myself. I decided to go last minute as well. I have also noticed when I walk/ drive all over Union, the color and patterns on the smallies very's greatly. The day I got into a big school a few weeks ago... All of them were very dark so it makes me wonder if they were all from the same spawn area/ parents.
