Fishing on Potholes is getting as hot as the weather is!
We launched out of MarDon Friday and started off with crankbaits on the face of the sand dunes. With a water temperature in the high 70's and low 80's we found fish in 3-12 feet of water, hitting Rapala crankbaits in Chartuese combos. We caught roughly 9-10 Largemouth all between 2-3 lbs. with one going 4 1/4 lbs.
Then we ran to the back of Lind Coulee and threw Yamamoto Kut Tails and Tubes and caught a a couple more fish in the 4lb range that were in less than 2 feet of water, as the water is super stained back there. Fishing some boulder rocks at the mouth of Lind Coulee I hooked into the biggest fish of the day on the Yamamoto Kut Tail that weighed 5.15 lbs.
Overall a great day with plenty of good 3-5 lb. fish!!
Gotta love this low water level at Potholes!
