First time for us at Langlois. Got out on the lake about 8AM. There are logs in the water as you leave the boat launch area, fortunately we are in a canoe. Beautiful lake -- clear calm water with lots of shoreline and only a few homes in sight.

We tried trolling for an hour, but no bites. Tough morning ... 3 other boats on the lake have nothing as well. We switched to bottom fishing against the shoreline -- lots of trees/logs in and under water of ther shoreline. We try different tackle/rig set ups. Just as my son was asking to call it a day, we get a LMB on a white spinnerbait while reeling back to our canoe. I yell out for the net and my son lands the LMB at our canoe side. A few casts later, my spinnerbait gets caught on one of the underwater limbs. We call it a day, but will be back another time.
