Beaver continues to produce good times and good fish. Parks and I fished from about 6:30 AM until 12:30 and landed 30 bass. Most were dinks, but we boated several about 1 pound, a couple about 1 Pound 8 oz, and one 4 pound, which is a life record for lmb for me! All were safely released to fight again another day.

I could really use some advice from you.I have recently started fishing and did some trout fishing so far. Now i want to try fishing for bass and i would like some advice. I go to Beaver frequently and i am going to try casting and reeling in by the lily pads. What specific technique should i use? Do you use plastic lures or top water ? I have lost one spiller bait, one flaoting rapala and one plastic fish lure trying for bass. Some advice on to land some bass would be appreciated.

We have found it effective to use a 3 inch dark Senko on a #1 Gamakatsu EWG worm hook, no weight, Texas rigged. We use braid with a fluoro leader, but you can use straight fluorocarbon. I do not recommend mono-filament because it is too hard to feel the fish and set the hook. Cast near the pads, edge, or docks and let the bait settle. Keep the slack out of the line, and a fish will either pull or move the bait sideways. Set the hook. They will take it on the drop, so once it hits the bottom, pull it up and let it sink again.
