My brother and I took his new 20' Hewescraft out to West Medical for a sort of "shake down" cruise. We launched at 10:00 AM and finished till 1:00 PM. We started by dragging a Giant Cowbell with a red headed Triple Teaser. We trolled that for the first hour or so with no success. Then switched to an F5 Perch Scale flatfish and got a hit right away. Landed a 7" dink that got loose in the net, so we let it go. In the next 2 hours I had 4 solid hits and lost 2 at long distance and the other two were lost at the boat. Fishing was great, but the catching was slow. The wind was hard to deal with and we called it quits at 1:00 O'Clock. We saw about 8-10 other boats and most were trolling the west side. Some had decent stingers, but our creel went home dry.
