man today is the reason i go fishing! i was targeting muskie. went staight across from allan york park throwing my " river to sea" six inch jointed trout crankbait wouldnt u know the one time i dont do the figure 8 at the boat a muskie jumps out of the water chasing my bait. after i stopped shaking went back to casting the trout wasnt doing it so i switched to a green spinnerbait that i just happend to get from walmart on my way to the lake got it for 1.00 best damn dollar i ever spent all in all ended up catching 5 nice smallmouth and 2 of the biggest crappie ive ever seen. they were bigger than my biggest smallmouth. dicided to take my steel leader off was tired of my spinnerbait hanging up on it. that was a bad ideah a tiger chased it out from under a dock a we stood face to finns so i flipped it back out there and he took it. and then he cut my line off. wont fish there again w out a leader. but im going back tomarrow so someone tell the skii boats to stay in at least till 11 or so

looks like you had a great day on the water. I didnt do squat out there today. Didnt even see a fish. Way to go. I would though make sure you keep a leader on your line. Especially if your targeting Tigers. Good job on the crappies for sure..see ya out there sometime..Todd

Trigger, You may want to give some thought to trying the tieable wire rpoducts. I started using it for pike fishing this year and I love it. You can tie directly to your lures or use a duo lock snap or similar product. The one I use is the AFW surflon in 26lb test. It makes very small knots, is very flexible and holds up well to the teeth of pike and I assume Muskies. Happy Fishing

Glad to see someone had a good outing! I went out today and had one big clap at my spoon and that was about it. We hooked one perch on a spinner, but other than that, nada. Where were you fishing (if you don't mind telling)?

Cpt I fish the southend of the lake. Launch my little flat bottom john boat w my elect trolling motor and fish all the way up to the eagles nest. And fish my way.back to the boat ramp thats all my battery will give me. Seen my buddy hook a big one in 3 ft of water.at the nest when the smallmouth were spawning. But most of the ones ive came across were on the south west bank.
