I used to fish for trout here all the time, then they started having big sores all over them so I stopped goin. I haven't been here for about 8 years either, so I wasn't sure what I was getting in to.
I started off over by the park and worked clockwise. I could see small ones (1lb.) about 10 feet down but they were just checkin out my jig n pig. Just after the big building I saw a decent one swimming up to check out the jig, then I noticed one about 4lbs. cruisin up also. The big one got close to the jig then I hopped hoping she would smash it, but that didn't happen. I was franticley diggin for my senkos as the big one swam off. I caught the small one on a senko that was about 2lbs. and never saw the bigger one again.
Farther down, fishin around all those logs I had two about 5lbs checkin out my lures but couldn't get them to hit. The second one chased my dancin eel down then turned at the last second. They were both in about 20 ft. of water just under surface.
I fished the whole lake but that was all the action I had, other than seeing big balls of fresh hatchlings. Next time I will bring d-shot poles with me.
